Anodizing

anodizing

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The process is called anodizing because the part to be treated forms the anode electrode of an electrolytic cell. IND’s innovative recipes, created solely for high-tech industries, are designed to deliver:

  • Corrosion resistance.
  • Scratch resistance.
  • Extended part lifetime.

IND’s premiere coating capabilities are performed per ANSI standards and compliant to all semiconductor requests.  Our anodizing services are offered only to high-tech industries.

Those services include:

  • Detailed masking for smooth transitions and appearance.
  • Type III Hard Anodizing — clear & black.
  • Type II Soft Anodizing — various colors available upon request.
  • Optic Black Anodizing.
